In all that I have read there is never even one mention of people using car crashes as a type of suicide attempt.
These are not primarily murders they are primarily suicide attempts.

Indeed if a rescuer is doing this then they really cannot be seen as a rescuer and would need to be more correctly diagnosed as a persecutor.

We don’t like it but we can understand the death of a loved one by accident or illness. However the death of a loved one by suicide leaves us more puzzled.

My personal view is there is a solid argument for the idea that a child cannot suicide. If one uses the term ‘child suicide’ that is quite misleading as the vast majority of people will assume it to have some similarity to the adult suicide which it most definitely has not.
For example the passive aggressive person often has unintegrated anger. They dislike their anger, so they reject it, but it keeps coming back in their communications with others in a passive form.
The example given implies that when the urge to kill self is experienced as a directive from another then closing the suicide escape hatch is indicated. When the suicidal urge is not experienced as such a directive then closing the escape hatch may be contra indicated.
My experience with those who are close to a suicidal person finds the feeling and thinking responses to be wide and varied. By no means are they all negative as one might logically expect.
However it is not uncommon for people to confuse the two. For instance if a mother see’s her daughter is cutting self it is understandable how she can then conclude that the daughter is suicidal. However this is not accurate.
If we have two people who are potentially suicidal that special connection can be about suiciding together. Hence we end up with the suicide pact.
Thus one can understand the logic behind her decision to make a significant suicide attempt. Her times of madness cause her great pain and cause pain for those around her. No one knows how long it will last this time and how many more times in the future it will happen again.
The point here in the suicide note of Adolf Hitler is it reflects a business like approach to making a suicide attempt.
Obviously if one is doing a suicide risk assessment they need to assess how much A1 thinking is going on for the person and how influential it is as the executive of the personality. The more it is the higher the imminent risk of suicide.
In the search for a more robust definition or understanding of suicide it seems imperative to acknowledge the role that homicide can play in certain instances of suicide. As well as acknowledging the role accidents can play in the expression of suicidal ambivalence
